Rey's Birthday Party! - MCA Holosuite, Wednesday

The holosuite was a fickle creature and had always been as such for as long as Jaskier had been aware of it. So, it really should come as no surprise that all his hard work (he bribed some squirrels to help.) had been nearly been all for nought when the room inexplicably turned in a saloon.

But you know what? He wasn't a quitter when it came to parties, so he worked with it!

A theme never hurt anyone, right? So, welcome to Rey's birthday hootenanny, y'all!

"Some people are like that. They just want to celebrate longer," Annie said, and like, she wasn't going to say it, but Rey. Rey. Summer was like that, kind of.

But Annie also knew a lot of girls she'd grown up with who were much more obnoxiously like that.

"I can't even think of what I would want to do for a week," Rey mused.

"I mean, you could go on a trip or something," Annie suggested, actually thinking about this now. "I'd do that for a milestone. But you could also, like, have several parties."

"The trip I could maybe do, though it's a little late for that," Rey said. "A week of parties is..."

She could do two in a week, max.

"What, not totally your scene?" Annie teased. "I mean, I would say we should go drinking on the mainland, just to do it now that you legally are of age, but I'm probably kind of good on bars for a minute?" And also Rey didn't have the identification that was crucial to all of this, anyway, but look at Annie just lightly step around that. "But you should still, like, do some kind of alcohol-related event. Margarita night or something."

"Is margarita night different than sangria night?" Rey checked.

"Margaritas are made in a blender." Or at least they were when you hung out with Annie.

Which was to say: no, not really.

"All right," Rey grinned. "Maybe margarita night next week?"

Failing at a birthday week but whatever.

If it was still in July they'd be able to claim birthday month, though!

"Absolutely," Annie declared. "We can have a margarita fiesta."

Possibly with, like, hats.

"That sounds like more of an event."

Well yes, if there were hats.
