Rey's Birthday Party! - MCA Holosuite, Wednesday

The holosuite was a fickle creature and had always been as such for as long as Jaskier had been aware of it. So, it really should come as no surprise that all his hard work (he bribed some squirrels to help.) had been nearly been all for nought when the room inexplicably turned in a saloon.

But you know what? He wasn't a quitter when it came to parties, so he worked with it!

A theme never hurt anyone, right? So, welcome to Rey's birthday hootenanny, y'all!

“Pff,” Liam waved a hand. “Like I wouldn’t be here?”

Rey was absolutely one of his favorite people, as evidenced by the fact that he was totally going in for a hug now.

"You never know," Rey smiled, hugging him back. "People fall into holes sometimes."

“Yeah,” Liam made a face. “I’m really sorry about that.”

Did he, personally, have anything to do with how the holes had been created? No. Was that stopping him from feeling guilty about not being able to fix it sooner? Also no.

"Don't be. I was looking for holes, I knew what could happen," she said, totally not bothered.

"Hm." Don't get logic all up in his guilt, Rey! "No more falling into holes for a while though, okay?"

As if she'd actually hold back from throwing herself into danger, holes and all, if it meant helping someone in need.

(As if Liam would actually expect her not to.)

Rey would probably be a little flattered that apparently everyone assumed she would throw herself in a hole.

"I will. I'm trying to enjoy life aboveground for a while," she said. "Unless, of course I end up needing to go back to the planet where their city is underground but that's different."

They had fake sky, it was fine.

You're a hero-type, Rey. DEAL WITH IT.

"Well, yeah," Liam nodded. "They'd have infrastructure and not just a bunch of random buildings that fell down a hole." Presumably the population was not living off of booze and soon-to-expire ice cream toppings! "Totally different."

"And yet they don't have a single bowling alley."

Rey was really well-adjusted for the whole thing.

"Is that a measurement of success for a civilization now?" Liam asked with a teasing grin. "The number of bowling alleys?"

If it was bowling alleys per capita, Fandom was very successful.

"Maybe. I'll have you know that place was my social life for about two days," she joked.

"Yeah?" Liam said. "You get lots of practice in?"

Rey had probably bowled more often than Liam had, at this point (which was all of once). Albeit with space-people rules and all.

"Not a lot. But enough to get the hang of it. Even if Annie said the rules are different."

Big whatever, space rules were different.
