Rey's Birthday Party! - MCA Holosuite, Wednesday

The holosuite was a fickle creature and had always been as such for as long as Jaskier had been aware of it. So, it really should come as no surprise that all his hard work (he bribed some squirrels to help.) had been nearly been all for nought when the room inexplicably turned in a saloon.

But you know what? He wasn't a quitter when it came to parties, so he worked with it!

A theme never hurt anyone, right? So, welcome to Rey's birthday hootenanny, y'all!

"Thank you!" Rey said, hugging her back. "This is very new."

Because it wasn't really a big deal or anything.

Pssh. If it had the word party in it, it was totally a big deal. Even more so when you threw in birthday.

"Well," Summer grinned, "hopefully you don't hate it, because there are going to be plenty more of these in the future."

Especially if she had anything to do with it.

"I don't know if that's necessary..."

It was too late already, wasn't it?

"Of course it's not necessary," Summer agreed, with a grin that said everything she was about to add already.

"But when have I ever let that stop me?"

DID YOU SEE HOW MUCH JELLO SHE MADE FOR THIS, REY?

"I usually go much lower key," Rey warned.

Like, she didn't really address it.

"YOU?" Summer gasped, eyes wide, hand to her chest, as if this little tidbit of information was just shocking. World-shattering. Narrative-breaking. "NooooOOOooooo!"

Then she dropped it into a softer grin.

"I am capable of lower key, you know," she said. "Maybe I'm actually so good at lower key, that it's so low key that people don't even notice it."

"Have I seen lower key from you?" Rey wondered.

"I mean," Summer reasoned, "there's probably been at least one or two occasions, but, like, they were probably so low-key that they were also completely and utterly forgettable, too so we can't even remember."

It...could totally work like that, right?

"So you're very good at low key, then," Rey said.

"Ohmygod," said Summer confidently, "like...low-key the low-keyest at being low-key."

A pause.

"Sometimes."

Not often.

"Sometimes," she nodded. "I like the Jell-O shots, by the way."
