The holosuite was a fickle creature and had always been as such for as long as Jaskier had been aware of it. So, it really should come as no surprise that all his hard work (he bribed some squirrels to help.) had been nearly been all for nought when the room inexplicably turned in a saloon.

But you know what? He wasn't a quitter when it came to parties, so he worked with it!

A theme never hurt anyone, right? So, welcome to Rey's birthday hootenanny, y'all!

"I'd wanted to say hello on Saturday," Anakin said, smiling as he approached, "but I was giving Grogu back."

"Saturday was insane," Rey told him. "Once I saw everyone was okay I went directly to a shower."

"That did seem like the best course of action," Anakin admitted.

"That and real food," she nodded. "I do feel bad about how much training I missed."

She may not have been physically present for it, but she'd gotten quite a lot in.

"Tell me you lifted a lot of rocks and we'll call it even," Anakin teased.

"I honestly really did," Rey said with a little laugh. "Got to practice jumps by lightsabering the ceiling for a bit, too."

This was why she secretly had great abs.

"That sounds...frustrating," Anakin admitted, laughing.

"It actually wasn't bad. It was just practice," Rey assured him. "Though it was much easier once I had a ship at hand."

"I imagine that made everything move much faster," Anakin agreed.

"I'm convinced we could have blasted out by now," Rey admitted. "Luckily we didn't have to."

"I have every faith in you," Anakin said, smiling.

"Thank you," Rey said, smiling. "I'm sure there's a lot more you'll hear Friday, too."

She was really looking forward to being able to get back to that.
